WHITEHAVEN RL has announced that only Connor Holliday from the previous squad who will be staying for the 2025 season.

The club has thanked all the players who will be leaving the club.

In a statement released on social media, Whitehaven RL said: "From our 2024 squad there is only Connor Holliday who has renewed his contract and we just wanted to say a big thank you to all the leaving players for helping us get through a difficult season and for their help with the community events.

"The feedback from the Aussies going into the schools and camps was amazing and we’ve been lucky to have them make such a big impact on our local kids.

"We wish all of the departing players every success for the future

"Don’t panic fans we have plenty of experienced new signings to announce to complement all the young local talent that are stepping up to the pro game. We are mega excited for this upcoming season.

"We can’t wait to see Muzza’s rebuilt squad playing in the 2025 season.

"A lot of these young amateur lads have represented BARLA at various ages and levels and it makes for a very exciting season to see how they step up.

"When you look at most teams from superleague down to league one they always have 8-10 outgoing players every season then it’s harder on recruitment and then working on building a team that knows how each other plays.

"We are hoping that these young local amateurs really step up and we are building something special that will last for years.

"Muzza has signed a 3-year contract which shows his commitment to the rebuild."

Anthony Murray, who previously coached Workington Town, will now be taking on the job of coaching Whitehaven RL.

The club has made several new signings in recent weeks and are continuing to build the team.
