WHITEHAVEN Rugby League has announced the signing of hooker Connor Saunders from neighbours Workington Town.
Saunders (27) who has also played for Barrow Raiders played one game on loan for Haven from the Raiders in the 2023 Championship season but will make the permanent move to The Ortus Rec for the 2025 campaign.
Whitehaven head coach Anthony Murray said: "I am looking forward to working with Connor again and am really pleased he wants to further his career with us at Haven.
"Connor brings some championship experience having spent a lengthy spell at Barrow and league one experience with Workington last year.
"He is a fit lad who works hard and will bring a different dynamic when he comes onto the field."
Murray, who is the former coach of Workington Town, selected Saunders 16 times last season in Workington's League 1 campaign.
Connor will be sponsored by M.E Saunders & Sons.
