WHITEHAVEN Rugby League has announced the signing of winger Henry Hadfield from Betfred League 1 neighbours Workington Town.
A player with experience in both codes he made 6 appearances for Workington following his mid-season signing scoring his only try on debut in a tight victory over Rochdale Hornets.
A Penrith Native he has also played for the town’s rugby union side as well at playing at Fylde and Darlington Mowden Park and had a spell amongst the junior setup at Salford Red Devils.
Head coach Anthony Murray said: "I’m really pleased Henry has decided to keep developing his game with us at Whitehaven.
"Henry has been playing rugby union and has now decided to fully concentrate on playing league.
"He will add plenty of size and strength to our outside backs and put his hand up to do the hard yards out of yardage.
"His carries will be in the double figures and I’m sure he will top the meters most weeks. He is a genuine hard-working player and I’m sure he will continue to progress in his league career."
