Whitehaven Rugby League has announced the signing of loose forward Ellis Nixon from National Conference League side Seaton Rangers.
Nixon, 20, is a former England community lions player at youth level having represented the team at Under 16’s and Under 17’s level and made 15 appearances for Seaton in the National Conference League last season. He scored 1 try and 2 goals under Haven’s new assistant coach Neil Frazer, head coach at Seaton.
Haven’s head coach, Anthony Murray, said: “I’m really looking forward to working with Ellis and another local player coming from Seaton.
"Ellis is a fit lad who is dedicated and fully committed player who I’m sure will play his best rugby given this opportunity in the pro game.
"He gives 100% in every game he plays and will give us everything he has in the middle of that pitch and I’m looking forward to working with him.”
The club thanked Seaton in their support of Ellis making this step up to the professional game.
