WHITEHAVEN RL's head coach has provided an update about the playing squad.

Kyle Amor has spoken out ahead of the remaining three games of the season.

The Haven squad has once again been training at Xtreme Fitness at Lillyhall, to provide them with beneficial support as the season begins to end.

Mr Amor said: "It's brilliant, I'd like to thank Lee Butterworth of Xtreme Fitness for letting us use these excellent facilities here at Lillyhall.

"We struggled over the past couple of weeks, and I'm led to believe for a couple of weeks prior to that.

"Getting a team on a field on a Tuesday given the numbers that we have available. A lot of those loanee players that we've got are training with their parent clubs and we get them when we can.

"The next best thing is to get some quality cardio work done and some strength work, and some mini skills, so big thanks to Lee."

Kyle Amor continued to provide an update on where the Haven Squad is now.

He said: "We named 17 again and that was our full intention but obviously there's been a bit of illness in the camp, I myself fell to that.

"With Ryan King, we decided between us and we left it until the eleventh hour. He got a knock against Dewsbury; he probably shouldn't have played against York, but he did. So, we just felt like taking him out of the firing line for what's to come is a smart decision.

"So, he joins the list of injured players that we've got like Callum Philips, Jamie Doran, Oscar Doran, Marcus O'Brien, Connor Holliday. Some of those guys are close but others are long-term.

"That's where we're at on the injured front, Jake Maizen still remains unavailable, and Guy Graham has since left the club. I had a chat with Guy and tried to get him back, but he decided that his time was done, and he's moved on.

"The players from Halifax and Campbell and Hersey have been recalled and obviously Perry Singleton who's retired."
