WHITEHAVEN Rugby League will be heading to Yorkshire over the weekend to take on Sheffield Eagles.
Last weekend the West Cumbrian side got a win away at Heywood Road against Swinton Lions.
Haven will be looking to put on an equally strong performance against the South Yorkshire outfit.
Head coach Jonty Gorley spoke to Jordan Weir giving his thoughts on the upcoming game and last week's match against Swinton, he said: "It's just how we've been playing for half a game again, but we've got out on the right side this time because the second half was a reversal to the first half.
"I thought we were very good we completed highly in the second half, we were up over 90 percent, and we defended well but you defend better when you're completing high because you're fresh.
"During the first half, we were just in the tumble dryer for a bit and couldn't defend. A 14-6 halftime score was a very lucky result for us. I think 20-0 would have been a more realistic score but Locky did a bit of individual stuff to get us over the line at halftime.
"So, playing as badly as we had done and only being eight points behind, I was a happy man to be fair.
"We changed our strategy a bit at half time, and I gave the players four or five minutes to think about how the game's gone and what their contribution to the team had been.
"I just gave them a couple of bullet points and it was a case of getting their heads back on and playing how they did at the start of the second half. The last few starts to the second half haven't been that great."
