TWO young Cleator Moor boxers had their first-ever skills bout.
Alfie Richardson and Alfie Hall travelled to Liverpool's Southport Stars for their contests, with both boys representing Cleator Moor ABC.
A spokesperson said: "Both young men made a really good amount of themselves, showing just what us Cumbrian boxers are made of.
"Head coach Des Mattinson was pleased with the way both young men used their super strong boxing skills.
"Alfie Hall was up first showing off his long-range boxing skills enjoying every round as if he'd boxed for years.
"Then it was time for fire-cracking Alfie Richardson who boxed well in and out, dropping his opponent in the second round.
"There are no winners in a skills bout but what a brilliant learning curve for the two Cumbrian lads.
"Hats off to the two Liverpool youths who were both brilliant boxers. The Cleator Moor ABC boys both did amazing."
