WHITEHAVEN RL has three Championship fixtures coming up this month.

In May, the West Cumbrian side has two away games and a final game at the end of the month at home.

The club says that this should be an 'exciting month' for all involved at Whitehaven RL.

A spokesperson said: "The month starts with a trip to York Knights RLFC on Sunday looking to secure a third successive victory over the Knights.

"We return to the DCBL Stadium on May 19 to take on Widnes Vikings Rugby League Club. A 22-22 draw in pre-season, will we see an equally close contest with league points on the line?

"And to end the month it’s a bank holiday bonanza as we welcome current league leaders Wakefield Trinity for the first since August 1998 on Sunday, May 26.

"It promises to be another exciting month of Championship action. Share spread the word, and let’s get them terraces packed on Sunday, May 26."
