Cleator Moor Celtic has announced that their club chairman has resigned.
Graeme Close has made the decision to step down as chairman for personal reasons.
Celtic thanked Graeme for all he has done for the club and wished him all the best, they say that they look forward to seeing him around the club.
Mr Close said: "It's with deepest regret that I have resigned from my position of Club Chairman of Cleator Moor Celtic FC.
"This is due to personal reasons. I would like to thank everyone associated with the football club for their support over my time in the position and for giving me the opportunity to be part of a great team.
"In almost two years, I have had some ups and downs, and I believe I have made progression in some areas, and the club has so much potential.
"As you can imagine, stability in these unprecedented financial difficulties, mainly energy costs, have been my main focus.
"The Greener than Green project is one of the highlights. Seeing our junior players come together to work on a project to reduce our carbon footprint and ultimately reduce our energy costs was a delight to see.
"As a football club, we have to see this fulfil its potential, one, to protect the environment for the future of these kids and also to ensure the club remains a financially viable asset that is a hub to over 500 members and associated families.
"I would like to wish the club all the best for the future. I will still be around to help and support the Hoops."
