Whitehaven Sharks under-sevens took three teams to the Keswick festival this Sunday.
The Sharks played matches against teams from Keswick, Carlisle, Penrith, Workington and a fixture against each other.
Having a wealth of committed, enthusiastic and talented players ensures the Whitehaven teams are always changed to ensure all players get to play with every member of the squad. The games were played in a good, competitive spirit and the focus of passing and evading came to the fore.
There were excellent performances throughout the morning, with everyone adding value to the team.
Coach Jasmine Story said: “It’s so pleasing to see the progress that all the kids are making and how the skills we practise at training are being put into the matches.”
The squad will make the journey to Penrith this Sunday looking to continue the good work.
The club thanked sponsors and volunteers for helping to make the trip happen and continue the youngsters’ development.
