Danny Grainger laced his bots back up and led Workington Reds to a convincing Cumberland Cup win over Moor Row last night.
Reds, who fielded several young guns, alongside a smattering of experience, put seven goals into the back of the net without reply.
But take nothing away from Moor Row, with the Smurfit Kappa Cumberland League side battling throughout, putting on a good show.
Reds' man of the match Luke Ivison led the way for the home side at Borough Park with Nathan Waterston also standing out thanks to his hat-trick of goals.
A quick brace from Cam Harker, plus further strikes from Ash Kelly and Owne Durham sealed the win for Workington.
Anchored by goalkeeper Dean Armstrong, Moor Row had a couple of good first half chances but Reds keeper Alex Mitchell had a very quiet second half in front of a small but vocal crowd of 101.
