St Benedicts under-14s clinched the County Cup with a dominant win against Carlisle in the final.
Bennies were missing key players Jack Murray, Luke Spivey and Logan Scales through injury but were still in a confident mood prior to kick-off and right from the start their pace and direct running gave the much larger Carlisle side some problems.
Their tries came from Miller Dalton, Billy Murray, Oscar Doran, Ashton Sice, Logan Connor with two, Sam Murtagh with two and Keelan Mckeown. Murtagh kicked five conversions.
Fly-half Murray was named the man of the match but he was pushed all the way by Doran, Murtagh and Keene Martin.
It was a great team performance from Bennies to earn the first youth county trophy in their history.
The under-14s coaches would like to thank all the parents and supporters for their attendance on the day and sponsors Travis Perkins, Cemac Construction, Express Plumbing Supplies, Mark Robinson Plastering, Malcom Cordin, Paul Cartmell, Lakeland Fluid Power and Caterite.
