Workington Town have boosted their squad on the eve of their big Coral Challenge Cup clash with Leeds Rhinos.

Town have snapped up the signature of talented half-back Izaac Farrell on a season-long loan from Huddersfield Giants.

Farrell is a product of the Giants Academy and signed as a Super League professional in 2017. He has also represented England at junior and senior academy level.

He has made two Super League appearances this season against Catalans and Salford.

A club spokesman said: "Izaac is an exciting talent and will be a great addition to the squad.

"We’re looking to make more signings over the coming weeks but we have to make sure they are quality signings. Izaac certainly fits that requirement."

Farrell will go straight into the squad for tomorrow’s night's fifth round tie at Headingley.
