Workington face an uphill struggle to replicate their stunning Championship Shield win at Ashfield when they travel to face the Tigers in the league.
Team manager Tony Jackson knew he would be without ex-Tiger Bewley, who is due to race in a World Under-21 qualifying round, and had hoped to use the rider replacement facility for him.
But with Ty Proctor ruled out after picking up an injury while guesting for Berwick, he has turned to Dale Lamb as a guest for Bewley and rider replacement for Proctor.
The pair scored 29 points between them when Workington triumphed at Glasgow last month.
Bewley, who scored an impressive 13 points for Polish club Rybnik on Sunday and finished second in the British Final the day after, will be riding in Sweden tomorrow with a view to qualifying for the three-round Final series.
The Final series takes place at Daugavpils (Latvia) on June 29, Leszno (Poland) on July 22 and Pardubice (Czech Republic) on September 28.
