CHILDREN were delighted to catch a glimpse of Santa on his sleigh as he made his way through their village.
Santa was surrounded by twinkling lights on a dazzling sleigh which as he travelled through St Bees on Tuesday night before switching on the Christmas tree lights on at Cross Hill.
The event was organised by St Bees Parish Council and raised nearly £300 for St Bees RNLI.
Colin Wadey of St Bees RNLI said: “The volunteers at St Bees RNLI would like to thank the residents of St Bees for their generosity in donating £292.24 to the RNLI during the parade.
“We would also like to thank the Parish Council for arranging for Santa to come along and help with turning on the village lights.”
