A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of burglary after a property was broken into in West Cumbria. 

Today, November 27, Solo Beauty on Lowther Street in Whitehaven was broken into. 

A Cumbria Police spokesperson said: "A member of the public called in a window being smashed at the business at around 5am.

"Officers attended and found that entry was likely gained via a smashed window and believed money was taken from the till.

"A man in his 50s has been arrested on suspicion of burglary.

"He remains in police custody."
