FANS of Bridget Jones have been delighted this week as the trailer for the fourth and final film in the franchise was released - and the film seems to have a very special connection to Cumbria.
A highly-anticipated trailer for Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy dropped on Tuesday, November 12, and it's understood some of the film has been shot in the Lake District.
Over the course of weekend, lead actress Renee Zellweger (Bridget Jones) and 12 Years a Slave actor Chiwetel Ejiofor (who plays a PE teacher and Bridget's rumoured love interest) were spotted filming a school trip scene for the new movie in Keswick, according to reports in the national media, with Renee having a classic 'Bridget Jones' moment with a trip over the bridge.
Although their are no clips in the trailer of the Lake District, Cumbrian fans are eagerly awaiting the release of the film on February, 14 2025 to see if they can spot some noticeable backdrops in the movie.
