The council has launched a programme offering activities and meals for children during the Christmas holidays.
The Holiday Activity and Food (HAF) programme, funded by the Department for Education, is set to provide engaging activities and nutritious meals for school-age children.
The initiative includes face-to-face activity sessions and remote options, where eligible families can access food parcels and activity packs.
Eligible families are encouraged to find out what is available near them at cumberland.gov.uk/holidays.
Spaces are limited, so early registration is encouraged to secure a spot.
Councillor Emma Williamson, deputy leader (non-statutory) of Cumberland Council and executive member for children, family wellbeing, and housing, said: "We know the holiday season can be financially challenging for families.
"Our teams and partners have worked together to create an offer to provide support and a range of interesting activities for children and young people.
"We encourage all eligible families to take advantage of these opportunities and to reach out if they need support throughout the winter."
The programme, which runs from Friday, December 20 to Tuesday, January 7, will be delivered by 39 organisations across Cumberland, with more than 2,500 spaces available.
