DRIVERS in and around Copeland will have two National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.
And one of them is expected to cause severe delays - with motorists facing a holdup of at least half an hour.
The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures are due to start over the next two weeks:
• A595, from 9.30am to 3.30pm on November 14, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A590 eastbound, Springfield road, traffic signals for BT works.
• A595, from 9pm November 14 to 6am November 15, severe delays (more than 30 minutes): A595 northbound and southbound, Howgate Roundabout to Clintz Roundabout, traffic signals for LED street lighting works.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
