A charity is asking people to wear Christmas jumpers to help support their services.

Hospice at Home West Cumbria is urging businesses, schools, and community groups to join the fun in December.

The charity, which provides palliative and end-of-life care, will give participants a free fundraising pack with ideas for raising money and adding festive cheer, including quizzes, games, and decorations.

Schools will also receive a prize to award their best-dressed pupil.

Holly Harkness, community fundraising co-ordinator at Hospice at Home West Cumbria, said: "Christmas Jumper Day is an important part of our fundraising calendar, and we love seeing all our supporters in their Christmas knits – the crazier the better.

"We are looking forward to holding our own Christmas Jumper Day at our Therapy and Information Centre in Workington and would love for you to join in the fun at work, home, school, or a community group, raising money for your local hospice charity."

To take part, people simply need to contact the Hospice at Home West Cumbria fundraising team on 01900 873173 or email info@hhwc.org.uk to register for their free fundraising pack and let them know about their Christmas Jumper Day.
