A WEST Cumbrian cafe has been given a new food hygiene rating.

Brunch on High Street, Cleator Moor, was given a rating of 5 when it was inspected on September 26.

The hygienic handling of food including preparation, cooking, re-heating, cooling, and storage was found to be Good, as was the cleanliness and condition of the facilities and building.

The management of food safety, which includes systems or checks in place to ensure that food sold or served is safe to eat, evidence that staff know about food safety, and the food safety officer has confidence that standards will be maintained in the future, was also found to be Good.
