A man was arrested on Thursday (October 3) after a theft that took place from a boat in South Lakes in August.
The incident took place at Fell Foot Park in Ulverston situated at the southern end of Windermere.
After searching the man's property, the arrested man has now been released on police bail after interview whilst further enquiries are undertaken.

The arrest took place as part of Operation Headway - an initiative to help Cumbria police address the issue of boat and outboard engine thefts in the Lake District area
Speaking on its Facebook page, a spokesperson for South Lakes police said: "We remain committed to catching and convicting those who routinely target boats and equipment in the South Lakes area.
"If you have any information in relation to these types of theft you can share this with Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or using the anonymous reporting on their website.
"We are NEVER passed details of those sharing information."
