CUMBERLAND Council has announced that Strand Street in Whitehaven will close as resurfacing work takes place.
The Whitehaven street will be closed on Thursday, October 10, and Friday, October 11 between 10pm and 5am as the work takes place.
During the full closure, a signed diversion route will be available and on-street parking will be restricted.
Writing on social media, Cumberland Council said: "Please note that on-street parking will be restricted during this time, but access for residents, businesses, emergency vehicles, and pedestrians will be maintained.
"If you're out enjoying the evening at nearby pubs or bars, we kindly ask that you remain vigilant around the work zone.
"Thank you for your patience as we work to improve the road."
