A school's swimming pool has reopened after undergoing maintenance and refurbishment.
St Bees School has announced that its pool is now fully operational, with specific sessions available for public use.
The pool is open to all ages and abilities, extending its use beyond the students to the wider community.
Mrs Emma Stott, head of boarding at St Bees School, said: "We're thrilled to reopen our doors to the public and share this incredible facility with our neighbours and local residents.
"Our swimming pool offers a safe and enjoyable space for people of all ages to engage in fitness, relaxation, and community activities.
"We encourage everyone to come and make the most of it."
The school has organised dedicated public swimming sessions, which include general swim sessions for individuals and families, lane swim sessions for adults seeking a structured environment, and parent and child swim sessions aimed at families with children.
All sessions will be supervised by qualified lifeguards to ensure a safe experience.
The school offers a pay-as-you-go option to suit the needs of the community.
The public can view the sessions online through the St Bees School website, or by contacting the school directly at welcome@stbeesschool.co.uk.
As the only swimming facility of its kind in the area, the school believes that the pool will be a valuable addition to the village and surrounding communities.
In line with current health and safety regulations, the pool will operate under strict hygiene standards, with regular cleaning schedules and controlled session numbers to ensure a safe environment for all users.
No booking is required to use the facility.
The school has a history of fostering strong connections within the local community, and the reopening of the swimming pool is another step in that ongoing commitment.
