The West Cumberland Choral Society (WCCS), celebrating its 55th anniversary, is inviting singers to join them.
Singers are invited to join them in an 'exciting and diverse' set of music, ranging from classical and contemporary through to musicals, folk and popular genres.
Music director Margie Simper brings many years of experience to lead singers of all abilities.
The choir recently won the District Nurses' Trophy at the Whitehaven Music Festival.
Group singing is said to enhance wellbeing, brain function and social connections, while performing live is said to be 'exhilarating' and confidence boosting.
This year, the Society's Christmas concert will feature Handel’s Messiah and a mix of carols and seasonal songs.
Rehearsals begin on September 12 from 7.30pm to 9.30pm at St Begh’s Junior School Hall on Coach Road in Whitehaven.
