THE Beacon will be hosting a history walk this summer.
The Whitehaven-based museum will be hosting the Pits, Presidents, and Pirates Guided Walking Tour.
The first event in June was unfortunately cancelled. However, The Beacon says that there are still spaces available for the walk on July 31 and August 28.
In a post on social media, The Beacon wrote: "The Beacon Museum will be bringing the popular Pits, Presidents and Pirates Guided Walking Tour back for summer 2024.
"Starting from The Beacon Museum, Our guide will lead you on a fascinating tour of Whitehaven Harbour and Whitehaven Town while sharing history and trivia on the varied, dangerous, and sometimes starry history of Whitehaven.
"The walk covers about 1 mile, and lasts approximately 90 minutes, some of the walk will take place on the harbour which can be uneven and slippy ground, and will include crossing roads."
