LOCAL group Whitehaven 'Ship-Shapers' have been back out in Whitehaven cleaning up the town and adding in a nautical new planter.
Whitehaven Ship-Shapers worked with Forth Engineering to create the ship-shaped planter after the last one was reused in Maryport.
Cumberland Council's open spaces team helped fit it in place and DSD Construction provided the soil to allow the team to start adding in the flowers.
Over the weekend, the ship shapers team were out cleaning up the town. 11 members of the groups cleared two bags of weeds from the town and finished the final planting on the ship
Member Lara Schwab gave a special thanks. She said: "A special thank you to Jamie, one of the ship-shapers who had already made a great start getting the ship full of lovely flowers.
"Washington Square taking shape nicely."
