A WOMAN has appeared in court accused of causing the deaths of two people by dangerous driving two years ago.
Jade Devine, 32, appeared at Workington Magistrates’ Court this morning to face two charges of causing death by dangerous driving and two charges of causing death by driving without due care and attention while unfit through drink.
She is also accused of being concerned in the supply of cocaine.
It is alleged that Devine caused the deaths of Bethanie Clark and David Muir while driving a Nissan Qashqai on the A596 in Flimby on May 15, 2022.
District Judge John Temperley sent the case to Carlisle Crown Court with the next hearing set for June 11.
Devine, of Andersons Court, Flimby, was granted unconditional bail.
