LOWES Court Art Gallery in Egremont has announced their featured artist for May.
The artist to be featured is Seascale-based artist Gareth Harrison.
A regular and long-standing exhibitor at Lowes Court, Gareth has put together a selection of new pieces that cover the breadth of his recent landscape themes.
A spokesperson said: "Open grasslands and fellsides feature summer tones and colours, alongside some dramatic winter Wasdale views, plus several black ink monotypes, all of which reflect his variety of working methods. To quote from the artist: 'You never cease to learn about painting.'
"Gareth has been an exhibitor and contributor to the local art scene for over two decades and is a founder member of the Art in Irton Group at Santon Bridge.
"A selection of mounted prints, photographs, and cards by the artist are also on show."
Lowes Court’s monthly feature wall is on view now until Saturday 1st June, and Gareth will be there for ‘Meet the Artist’ in Lowes Court on Saturday morning, May 11 between 10am and 1pm.
The Gallery also stocks a wide range of locally produced arts and crafts, including paintings and photographs by other gallery artists, prints and cards, textiles, glassware, jewelry, ceramics, and wood.
