FREE live music is set to return under The Hub on Whitehaven Harbour, thanks to secure funding for another series of The Harbour Sessions.
The initiative is a collaboration between Whitehaven Harbour Commissioners (WHC), and Oh My Days Promotions from West Cumbria. The concerts showcase local talent and last year featured popular artists such as Emma Dockeray, and The Native Cult. This year's line-up is again curated by Tom Salmon from Oh My Days Promotions.
Tom said: “When I enjoy a gig, I just want to tell everyone I know, and that’s what I want to keep creating with Harbour Sessions. I want to keep showcasing the musical talent that Cumbria has to offer and allow people to discover their new favourite musician."
The series, supported by the Robin Rigg Community Fund, begins on April 21 and will run from noon to 2pm every third Sunday of the month. Additionally, car boot sales will feature as part of the series starting this year.
Deanne Shallcross, CEO of Whitehaven Harbour Commissioners, said: “We are delighted that Harbour Sessions are returning this year and to work with Oh My Days Promotions again."
The upcoming series will kick off with performances by Maddie Rose and Delagrave. Delagrave said: “I'm really looking forward to playing by the sea again. It's always such a lovely vibe at the Harbour Sessions!”
