CUMBRIA Police have been working to protect businesses from crime.
Officers have been in West Cumbria intending to tackle the issue of shoplifting.
This was part of Safer Business Action (SaBA) Day on Monday, March 11.
A spokesperson said: "Whitehaven NPT officers are taking part in a SaBA day of action today to prevent offending against businesses, shoplifting being a priority.
"Officers will be on high visibility foot patrols throughout the day and evening. This is an initiative started by the National Business Crime Centre."
