NATIONAL news broadcasters GB News are on the streets of Whitehaven.
The team at GB News is in West Cumbria today, March 6, asking residents their thoughts ahead of the Budget announcement.
Reporter Bev Turner is speaking to business owners and residents to hear their thoughts on the government's economic plans.
Bev Turner, the host of The Morning Show - Britain's Newsroom, said: "As it's the Spring Budget day we have our normal broadcast from our news studios in London and they've sent me here to talk to real people.
"It's an interesting little town because of course it was built on the coal industry and it's 40 years since the start of the coal miners' strikes this week as well.
"It's a beautiful part of the world and we just want to show the country what a great place Whitehaven is and hopefully people will come and visit."
GB News began broadcasting in 2021 and some of its most popular shows are hosted by Nigel Farage and Neil Oliver.
The channel offers coverage of breaking news along with 'opinion and analysis.'
