RAIL services between Workington and Carlisle are being disrupted due to urgent repairs to a bridge.
Northern Rail has issued advice to their customers on how to travel on the line.
A spokesperson said: "Network Rail staff have advised the bridge will require extensive repairs and the railway will remain closed for up to 4 weeks from March 2.
"There is ticket acceptance in place with Avanti and TPE on any service Carlisle - Penrith - Lancaster both ways until March 8.
"Road Transport is now in place between Workington - Carlisle calling at Flimby, Maryport, Aspatria, Wigton, Dalston, and Carlisle both ways. Onward train connections can be made from Workington towards Barrow / Lancaster."
