THE Freemasons have donated £4,000 to the Beep Doctors.
This was part of the Masonic Charitable Fund and was presented to the Beep Doctors team at the Civic Hall in Cleator Moor.
A spokesperson said: "The head of Cumbria Freemasons, Bill Bewley has had a busy day, this time presenting Beep Doctors with another fantastic donation of £4,000.
"This included match funding from the Masonic Charitable Foundation
"Beep Doctors (BASICs) Cumbria, the small local charity in Cumbria. They bring emergency medical care to the patient.
"Whether that is on the roadside at the scene of a road traffic accident or in your home during a life-threatening emergency, their team of volunteer doctors have a variety of skill levels and are on call 24 hours 7 days a week to provide extra clinical care and interventions in medical emergencies that are not within the scope of practice of normal paramedics.
"BEEP means 'Bringing Enhanced Emergency care to Patients they have 12 volunteer BEEP Doctors that respond to major trauma and medical emergencies across the whole of Cumbria."
