A 'Minicon' event was held in Whitehaven this week.
Minicon is a small version of the Comicon events seen in major cities and the convention saw hundreds flock to The Solway Hall to enjoy a day of exciting activities.
The day involved a variety of competitions, cosplay, quizzes, merchandise stalls, and much more.
Darren Powe, one of the organisers of the event, said: "It went brilliant, it was another great success.
"This year, we expanded into the extra rooms that are available at The Solway Hall, and on top of the quizzes and games that we usually have we've also had a gaming area.
"These included tabletop games, 40k, Magic - The Gathering, Pokemon, and much more.
"Everyone seemed to find it good, when we were wandering around talking to people they all seemed to enjoy the atmosphere and I never heard a bad word about it.
"We out-sold our wristbands again like we did last year and around 450 people attended.
"We did our normal cosplay competitions with an adult and children's category. But with Minicon happening close to Valentine's Day this year we decided to do a couples and pairs category as something extra.
"We also had the addition of One-Eyed Willie's Treasure Hunt, which involved different gold items being placed around the venue for people to hunt for and find.
"One of the stand-out costumes this year was a Barbenheimer-inspired outfit, Last year when Barbie and Oppenheimer came out at the same time you were supposed to go to see them both on the same day.
"One cosplayer decided to come dressed as half Barbie and half Oppenheimer, it was absolutely brilliant and she actually won the adult cosplay competition."
Darren is part of the West Coast Cosplay group and explains that they will be having an open day this year for people to find out more about cosplay.
This gives people who are interested the chance to ask any questions that they might have and get advice.
Mr Powe added: "We would like to thank everyone who helped make the event possible from friends and family, stall holders, and volunteers but especially everyone who attended the event and supported us Without them it wouldn’t be possible to do what we do."
