A MAN has appeared in court accused of possessing a knife and a knuckle duster in Cleator Moor.
Colin Simpson, 36, appeared at Workington Magistrates’ Court to face charges of possessing an offensive weapon in a public place and possessing a knife blade in a public place.
He is accused of possessing a Stanley knife and a knuckle duster on Aldby Street in Cleator Moor on February 24.
The case was sent to Carlisle Crown Court for trial. A plea and trial preparation hearing was set for March 23.
Simpson, of Ennerdale Road, Cleator Moor, was granted bail, on the condition that he does not enter Aldby Street in Cleator Moor and he lives and sleeps at a named address each night.
