A TOWN Council has become concerned about youths throwing sticks and metal from a bridge.
Egremont Town Council has warned drivers and pedestrians about youths throwing twigs and metal grids from a bridge on Cleator Road.
This behaviour could pose a risk to members of the public who are travelling through the area.
A spokesperson said: "Egremont Town Council would like to highlight to drivers to look out for youths throwing things off the bridge on Cleator Road, large twigs have been thrown off and now more worryingly and very concerningly metal grids lifted from drains and thrown over onto the road.
"A town councillor has witnessed this happening and has reported the matter to the police, the youths are aged approximately 15/16 years old so should know better but this is very dangerous and could easily cause an accident."
