POLICE in West Cumbria are continuing to tackle speeding.
There were concerns in parts of Whitehaven about vehicles speeding which officers have been doing their best to address.
Cumbria Police attended New Road, in Whitehaven, where the monitored the speed drivers were going.
A spokesperson said: "Following complaints regarding speeding vehicles PC 2249 and PCSO 5274 have been conducting checks this afternoon in the area of New Road, Whitehaven.
"We are happy to report that all vehicles were below the signposted 40mph limit. We will be back later this evening to conduct more checks."
Other places that have seen speeding concerns recently is the Trumpet Terrace area of Cleator Moor which has also been monitored by police in the past weeks.
