SUPERMARKET staff have donated dozens of oranges and sweets ahead of a church’s annual Christingle service.
The items were donated to St James’ Church on High Street by Tesco Whitehaven ready for the Christmas Eve service.
Reverend Alison Dobell accepted the donation from Tesco staff along with some of the Christingle volunteers.
She said: “A big thank you to Tesco for the kind donation. Our Christingle service will be held in St James' Church at 4pm on Christmas Eve.
“This is a wonderful opportunity to get into the spirit of the festive season and remember what Christmas is truly all about.
“Please come along and join us. All are welcome.”
