Whitehaven Coastguard have shared information about their recent training exercises.
The volunteers took part in various scenarios to prepare them for real-life rescue missions.
A spokesperson said: "This week's training was a number of casualty care simulations, looking at both Trauma and Medical related injuries and illness.
"The team undertook aspects of Patient Consent and capacity, Patient Assessment, Treatment, Monitoring, and handover to Medical Professionals.
"The below scenarios were chosen as they cover just some of the team's taskings over recent years: diving-related illness, resuscitation of an adult casualty, drowned casualty, control of external bleeding (life-threatening bleed), head injury.
"Did you know all HM Coastguard blue light vehicles around the UK carry AEDs and medical equipment, with our Coastguard Rescue Officers trained and equipped in enhanced casualty care."
