Whitehaven’s Rosehill Theatre has plenty on offer to keep the family entertained this half term.
First up on Tuesday, October 24, between 11am and 2pm, the M6 Theatre Company presents NEST, a new family show from the team behind Whatever the Weather and Mavis Sparkle.
A tree in a city. Two birds decide to make it their home and soon their cosy nest contains two very precious eggs. The world below is full of stuff but, very quickly, so too is the nest.
Filled with clowning, original song and beautiful shadow play, this highly physical two-person show uses minimal language to tell a tale about taking care, discovering what’s important and learning how to fly.
Perfect for ages 3+. This is a Pay What you Decide show so you can book for free!
For the older kids, award-winning actor James Hyland returns with Silver & Gold on Saturday, October 28 at 7.30pm.
Treacherous, murderous, and infamous. The only problem is, he’s not happy with the legend and he’ll do anything to set the record straight, even at the cost of his very last breath.
This is a powerful exploration of the ambiguity of morality that will captivate both adults and children alike. Suitable for 8+.
And one for adults and kids alike the third instalment in the Hercule Poirot’s epic big screen journey, A Haunting in Venice. Kenneth Branagh reprises the role of the infamous inspector on Thursday, October 26 at 2pm and 7.30pm.
