Cumbria Police have been speaking with McDonald's staff about antisocial behaviour.
Police officers in the Whitehaven area visited the town's McDonald's branch to discuss the matter.
Antisocial behaviour has become a growing problem in the town and often has been involving young people.
A police spokesperson said: "Officers from the local neighbourhood team have met this week with senior management from McDonald's to discuss issues with ASB.
"We will be working together to prevent and tackle any issues and positive action will be taken on any individuals involved.
"McDonald's is a popular restaurant within our town that provides a safe environment for families to attend.
"Evenings and weekends can be a time for youths to socialise but please be mindful and respectful to those around you and not act in a manner to cause anti-social behaviour. Thanks to the staff for their co-operation."
