PLANS to turn a family home in Whitehaven into an Airbnb have been lodged with the council.
An application for change of use and a proposed first floor extension has been put forward for the property at 7 Hilton Terrace, which is currently empty.
Under the plans, the number of bedrooms would be increased from two to four, with options to use the whole property for one family or let out individual rooms.
The small front living room would become a bedroom and a new rear first floor extension would accommodate a new bedroom and shower room. A new staircase would also improve access to the loft bedroom.
The application has been submitted to Cumberland Council by Mrs A Newsham from Cleator Moor.
