This week The Wave structure on Whitehaven Harbour was lit up red to mark Merchant Navy Day.
The Wave is one of the harbourside's most iconic landmarks but in recent years has rarely been lit up.
Earlier this year, for the Coronation of King Charles, The Wave was lit up once again.
The Whitehaven Harbour Commissioners have been working on restoring the structure so that it can be lit up more often.
On Sunday, September 3, people in the town were able to enjoy it being lit up yet again to mark Merchant Navy Day.
A spokesperson from the Whitehaven Harbour Commissioners said: "If you're near Whitehaven Harbour this evening you'll notice the Wave is lit red.
"This is in honour of Merchant Navy Day when those across the maritime industry fly the Red Ensign to honour and remember the sacrifices of Merchant Navy seafarers and fishers. It's also about celebrating all things maritime."
