Richmond leek club held their annual show on Saturday August 12, showcasing some of the finest leeks and onions amongst competitors.
A new winner emerged to claim the coveted cup for the best pair of leeks and best leeks in show. Colin McAvoy was the star of the day, taking home the top honours for both.
William Mossop and John Heslop followed behind Colin in second and third for the best pair of leeks category.
Meanwhile, John Heslop secured the first position for the best onion in show, followed by William Mossop in second place and Lindsey Armstrong in third.
The prize for the intermediate leek category was fiercely contested, with William Mossop emerging victorious, closely followed by Lindsey Armstrong in second place and Barry Sanderson in third.
In addition to the results, the Richmond leek club expressed their gratitude to Whitehaven Golf Club, Anna's Cafe, and The Cottage Chippy for their generous donations, and support throughout the year.
