A large-scale warehouse rave will be held next month to raise money for two important causes.
The Lock Up will be held at Lillyhall Industrial Estate, Workington on September 30, 2023.
The rave is being done to raise money for LH7 and Gary's Lionsheart Fund.
LH7 is a charity set up in memory of Logan Holgate, a young man who tragically passed away earlier this year.
Logan was a much-loved person in the West Cumbria area and was known as a keen rugby player.
He played for Hensingham ARLFC, who themselves have hosted a number of events in his memory along with other rugby clubs in the area.
A spokesperson who is helping to organise the event said: "We've done one or two before, and it is a rave similar to those seen in cities like The Warehouse Project in Manchester.
"It's a massive sound system and a massive lighting show, it will be held in a recycling warehouse at Lillyhall.
"We're charging £15 for the night, we've tried to keep it as cheap as possible. That will get you into the rave where local DJs are performing including Morgan Kasiera who is said to be a big name in the Carlisle area.
"We'll then bus them back to an afterparty which this time will be held at Club 135.
"Because Logan lost his life this year, we decided to raise money for a charity created in his name.
"We just want to make sure that all the young people have a chance of getting a ticket."
Some of the DJs who perform at The Lock Up will include Morgan Kasiera, Liam Parkins, Grant Bethwaite, and Anthony Wells. All of the DJs are local residents.
There will be an onsite bar, taking contactless payments, and transfers back to Workington and Whitehaven and the event itself is for those aged 18 years or over.
It will run from 5pm until 12pm with an after-party at Club 135 in Whitehaven.
