The Whitehaven Harbour Commissioners have provided an update on the completion of The Edge.
This is a new centre which is currently being developed on the harbourside.
A spokesperson said: "There have been unforeseen delays to the project due to circumstances outside of Whitehaven Harbour Commissioners control.
"However the works are due to get back on track shortly with an anticipated completion of construction at the end of 2023.
"Due to Health and Safety restrictions access to West Pier will continue along the marked diversion route."
