Egremont ABC put an end to their first-ever season in the last few weeks by hitting the road in all different directions.
On May 26 they sent two boxers to two shows. Ivan Udod went to Bolton for his second skills contest taking the bout at short notice Ivan showed improvement in his skills and is looking forward to next season.
Leon Ryan headed to the Angel of the North Box Cup after going five bouts unbeaten, he drew Chrisie Smith of the famous West Ham Boys Club which was a fantastic bout with Leon giving away height and reach.
He boxed well winning the second and third rounds but somehow lost on a points decision.
Leon’s had a busy season with seven bouts and a skills contest, he is looking to go in his first championship campaign next season.
Billie Donaldson took a bout on a few days' notice traveling to Cannock on June 4 to box Lauren Sylvester of the host club Trojen ABC.
Billie showed heart and grit in the bout of the night once again and pushed the home boxer back keeping centre ring landing good combinations to head and body also leading off with backhand shots to take a points decision.
Alan Toole, the coach, said: "Billie is one of our most dedicated boxers she never misses a session and is ready to box at a minute's notice she lives and breaths the sport and sets an example in the gym of how to live the life.
"She’s a credit to herself and the club, we could like to thank all our sponsors who have been a fantastic help in getting us set up we can’t thank you enough, we look forward to next season."
