WHITEHAVEN driver, Jessica Edgar, impresses with a podium finish in her F1 Academy debut.
The Rodin Carlin driver drove in the F1 Academy season opener in Austria over the weekend. During the first-ever qualifying sessions, all three Rodin Carlin disqualified from qualifying after an unintentional technical infringement was found on their cars in breach of the technical regulations.
However, Jessica and her fellow team mates pulled it back during the rest of the weekend as Jessica landed herself a podium on the first-ever F1 Academy weekend.
Jessica said:
"I think overall it was a really good weekend, finishing 5th in Q1 and 3rd in Q2 this was what I was aiming for so I was really happy with that, all 3 cars in the team then got disqualified for a non performance enhancing part which was really unfortunate."
"However, we made up for this in all 3 races where I got a podium in race one from the back, this was an amazing achievement from the back as top 3 was my aim starting at the front. I’m really happy with the team and results and I’m looking forward to see how the rest of the year goes!"
