WILDLIFE charity People’s Trust for Endangered Species (PTES) is calling for volunteers across Cumbria to take part in its annual garden wildlife survey, ‘Living with Mammals’.
The survery asks volunteers to record sightings of mammals - from hedgehogs and hares to badgers and bats - spotted in gardens, local parks and other green spaces online.
Running throughout 2023, the survey helps conservationists at PTES to understand how urban wildlife is faring and which species need the most help.
The survery hopes to understand our changing environment better and encourage urban wildlife to flourish.
The annual survery is called ‘Living with Mammals’.
David Wembridge, mammal surveys coordinator at PTES explains that: "Recording which mammals you see is vital to conservation"
